Block Engineering has announced that Mark Venske has joined the company as the new Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr Venske will lead all aspects of International Sales, Marketing, and Business Development with a focus on Block’s quantum cascade laser (QCL) products for oil and gas, semiconductor, and chemical gas and liquid analysis markets.
“Mark has an impressive track record selling sophisticated instruments for industrial process control, environmental monitoring, and laboratory analysis in the oil and gas, chemical, semiconductor, and other industries,” said Dr Daniel J. Cavicchio, Jr, Executive Chairman of Block Engineering.
Mr. Venske comes to Block from PAC, a division of Roper, Inc., where he served as Vice President of the Americas. At PAC he expanded sales of gas and liquid analysers in the oil and gas industry and built new distribution networks in Latin and South America. He has sold FT-IR spectrometers, gas chromatographs, liquid chromatographs and hyphenated mass spectrometry systems. Prior to PAC, he was National Sales Manager for Varian, Inc. and Agilent Technologies, Inc.
