Princeton Instruments has added the ProEM-HS:1024BX3 to its line of high-speed EMCCD cameras. This is a 1024 × 1024-pixel back-illuminated EMCCD camera with eXcelon technology for low-light imaging and spectroscopy applications. It offers a combination of high sensitivity (>95% QE) and fringe suppression in the NIR as well as single-photon sensitivity. With 30 MHz readout capability, the ProEM-HS:1024BX3 produces 25 full frames per second, and >4400 fps with reduced ROI as well as >20,000 spectra per second utilising special high-speed, custom readout modes. In addition, the unique spectra-kinetics mode is designed to deliver >300,000 spectra per second in burst mode.
